Privacy Policy

CORRO values you as a member. We want to assure you that CORRO is committed to upholding the trust you have placed in us.

We adhere to strict guidelines when dealing with your personal information.

We respect your privacy and collect your personal information to serve you better and fulfil the terms of our service.  There are several instances where you are required to give us your personal information for operational and/or administrative purposes. For example, we may require your personal information in order to contact you if you ask us a question or register for a class, to deliver an item or service to you that you may have requested or purchased.

In all circumstances we try to limit our collection of personal information to only those items that are necessary in order for us to provide the best service to you.  We don't collect personally-identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. This means we don't require you to register or provide information to us in order to view our web site.

If you give us your contact information in order to receive specific information such as resources or newsletters, we may contact you from time to time by email.  You can always change your preference for follow-up contacts just by opting out or e-mailing us at any time.

We do not share, sell, lease, rent or give any information about any member or client to any third party.

Regardless of the means by which your personal information is collected (by telephone, via email, the postal service or through the Internet) CORRO is fully committed to safeguarding your information.

There are several places throughout this website that may link to other web sites that do not operate under our terms, conditions or policies. When you link to other web sites, our Protection of Privacy Policy no longer applies.

Disclaimers

You understand and agree that this site may contain advice, opinions, and statements of various information providers and content providers. CORRO does not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any advice, opinion, statement or other information provided by any information provider or content provider, or any user of this site or other person or entity. Reliance upon any such opinion, advice, statement, or other information shall also be at your own risk.

CORRO reserves the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion and without any notice. Changes to our terms become effective on the date they are posted and your continued use of this website after any changes to terms will signify your agreement to be bound by them.

Rights and Ownership

You retain your rights to any content you submit, post or display on or through the Corro Digital Library.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, by submitting, posting, or displaying content on or through the Corro Digital Library, you grant Corro a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, fully paid, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display your content and any name, username or likeness provided in connection with your content in all media formats and distribution methods now known or later developed through Corro.

Corro needs this license because you own your content and Corro therefore can’t display it across its various surfaces (i.e., mobile, web) without your permission.

This type of license also is needed to distribute your content across our Services. For example, you post a story or how-to article on Corro. It is reproduced as versions on both our website or app, and distributed to multiple places within Corro, such as the homepage, library, newsletter or reading lists. A modification might be that we show a snippet of your work (and not the full post) in a preview, with attribution to you. A derivative work might be a list of top authors or quotes on Corro that uses portions of your content, again with full attribution. This license applies to our Digital Library and Corro Services only, and does not grant us any permissions outside of those.

So long as you comply with these Terms, Corro gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-assignable license to access and use our Services.

The Services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other Canadian and foreign laws. These Terms don’t grant you any right, title or interest in the Services, other users’ content on the Services, or Corro logos or other brand features.

Separate and apart from the content you submit, post or display on our Services, we welcome feedback, including any comments, ideas and suggestions you have about our Digital Library and Services. We may use this feedback for any purpose, in our sole discretion, without any obligation to you. We may treat feedback as non-confidential.

We may stop providing the Services or any of its features within our sole discretion. We also retain the right to create limits on use and storage and may remove or limit content distribution on the Corro Digital Library or Services.
